A Purposeful Life
In January 2016, FACETS collaborated with DSABV, CSISD, BISD, BVCIL and the Center on Disability and Development to develop a new parent training series titled "A Purposeful Life: Family Training Series." Dinner, childcare for children ages 2-10, a sibling support group and a parallel training for children with disabilities ages 11 and up are provided. Transportation is also available. These events are held at the Fellowship Room of Central Church, the first Thursday of the month from 6-7:30pm.
Parenting On The Spectrum
Parenting on the Spectrum are classes offered for families supporting a child diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. These events are offered as a courtesy from Bryan ISD but are open to families from other school districts. Classes are held at the Crockett Elementary from 6:30-7:30 pm. Topics covered in the Fall are particularly important for families who have received a new diagnosis. Visit our calendar for upcoming dates/topics.
Childcare (3yrs and older) and Spanish translation are available for most of the classes. You will have to RSVP the Friday before each session to attend. Please register for classes, childcare or Spanish translation by emailing Stephanie Garner at stephanie.garner@bryanisd.org or calling Rosy Roque at (979) 209-2778.
